Clubs and Groups

All children are welcome at St George’s CE Primary Before and After School Club. Enrichment Activities offered during the term are also intentionally inclusive.

Austisk it’s on face book they do several sessions during the week.
They
 youth club for 5- 10 years is on a Wednesday 4-6pm price £2 including drinks and snacks

Spectrum Gaming: At Austisk, Adswood Community Centre, every Saturday 11:30 am till 14:00 pm

Seashell Trust: Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme, Heald Green, Cheshire SK8 6RQ

Seashell Trust offer children a range of autism sports schemes and activities for young people with learning disabilities. Some clubs include:

A cycling evening with different trikes and bikes and adapted bikes for children with disabilities

Swimming lessons, including 1:1 and 2:1 adult supported

Football Club:  Fridays at The Cliff Training Ground, Lower Broughton Rd, Salford M7 2HU.

Ability Counts is our PAN-disability football programme for young people aged 5 to 16, held every Friday evening at The Cliff.
Offering young people with disabilities the opportunity to play or coach with Manchester United, Ability Counts focuses on players with a sensory, physical and neurological impairment or disability and sign communicators are present at all sessions.

Swimming: Free Disabled Swim Sessions at Local Pools.  

There are also a number of swimming lessons/session for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.  Please contact each provider for more information.

Poynton Leisure Centre:  Yew Tree Lane, Poynton SK12 1PU. Monday, midday to 1pm, except Bank Holidays and August.  Check with Leisure Centre about September onwards.

*NB - All pools have a hoist and steps available for easy access to the pool.  Please contact the pool before turning up on the day.

Mid Cheshire Riding For The Disabled (RDA)

Who is it for? – Ages over 5 years

Supporting People with:

  • Learning disability Autistic Spectrum
  • Physical impairment Profound or Multiple Needs
  • Hearing impairment Visual impairment

Eligibility Details:

Any disability but must be able to stand and bear weight as we do not have a hoist.

Celebrating Autism in Greater Manchester by creating opportunities, and providing a sense of personal freedom and choice. I AM – offer a range of clubs. These are aimed at supporting a wide range of people, aged 10 years and upwards, who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition.
