Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Year Six and St George's Choir took part in the One Voice Concert at the Bridgewater Hall today.
One Voice is an initiative organised the RAF, with the aim to promote dialogue between different faiths or beliefs through mutual endeavour; inspiring young people to focus on shared values and areas of commonality.
We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed watching the wide variety of performances as well as having the opportunity to sing on stage ourselves.
You can watch the concert on You Tube - our children perform at 3:05.
We received an email from the Children's Society this week thanking us for helping them raise £1.3 million for children and young people with our Christingle Service.
What an incredible achievement!
We were delighted to welcome Jim Gannon, First Team Manager, and Matthew Bailey, Assistant Community Foundation Manager, from Stockport County FC. They brought in their League Winners Trophy to show the children, and also presented us with a signed shirt.
The children loved hearing about how having a growth mind-set can help us succeed. They had the opportunity to ask lots of questions, touch the trophy and have their photos taken.
We already have a close relationship with Stockport County and enjoy having first team player Sam Minihan and Luke Watson as our community coaches. We have learned many new skills and lots of our junior children have attended football courses run by the club.
Congratulations to Stockport County FC. We hope to see you soon at Edgeley Park! IO County!
