During the Covid -19 closure to schools in 2020, St George’s C E Primary
School directed its resources towards supporting eligible pupils to
maintain their continuity of learning.
On return to school in the Autumn term 2020, the school took steps to
ensure that meaningful data was generated to identify disadvantaged
pupils who needed additional support, so that reliable progress targets
were set and support given.
During the subsequent school closure in the Spring term, the
educational experiences of pupils were varied and many factors have
impacted on the learning and progress of Pupil Premium eligible
children. On return to school, in the end of Spring Term 2, it has been
necessary for the school to focus on rigorous and reliable assessments
to inform planning and intervention provision for the school’s Covid
Catch up curriculum, to ensure that children are supported to achieve
their targets and make the progress expected of them.
With this in mind, the Pupil Premium Strategy will be reviewed using
the data from the Spring term and analysed against the Summer Term
