A massive thank you to all who took part in the sponsored read. The reading ambassadors are busy looking at all of the new greater depth books and are ready to hand out to the different classes. Thank you again.
Dear All,
Just to update you on some more, in school events.
On the 14th February we are having a visit from Andy Tooze, a published, performance poet. He will be working with the children across school in order to write their own poetry. After school there will be a chance for children to buy his book which is £5. We are absorbing the cost of his visit so there will be no cost to parents.
On the 26th April, KS2 will take part in a 'disabilities awareness' workshop with Bart Gee. A gentleman who has overcome disabilities in order to achieve success. Again, there will be no charge for this workshop.
WOW and a BIG THANK YOU to all who took part in the sponsored read-you raised a whopping £768.50. Thank you so much.
All funds will go to more reading books for the children. I will post pictures when the books arrive.
Merlin really enjoyed his 1st day with us here at St George's. He loved meeting the children and getting a few pats too! Merlin can't wait to start coming every week after the holidays.
What a super Christmas Fair we had for raising funds for the PTA. Thank you all for the donations and to all those who attend.
