St George's Primary School children welcomed the Robinson's Shire Horse to school today. Bobek is 9 years old, weighs a ton and is 18 hands 2 tall.
The children loved seeing the huge horse close up as it pulled the dray, traditionally used to transport bottles, casks and ales.
The children were invited to come to school wearing something red, white or blue in exchange for a donation towards Robinson's Help for heroes fundraising drive. Mrs Grindrod, our head teacher, was pleased to present over £180 to the groom.
